I have been waiting four years for the satisfaction of voting against Bush...again.

It felt great.

Long lines at my polling place and I have never seen a line there. This election is going to be interesting.

current mood: satisfied

I did get sent home they day I was sick and I didn't have to puke to do it!

Still feeling like a drained battery though, I need to get back to the gym.

Watched, "Goodbye Lenin!", last night with Derek. It was a great film about a young man who protects his mother from the truth that the Berlin Wall fell while she was in a coma and the East Germany she loved is now gone.

MAde halibut for dinner tonight and it was awesome!

I am going to the Loon to see Bush's Brain tommorow with the Aunt and Uncle, as if I need another reason to hate Karl Rove.

current mood: chipper

I feel like crap but for some reason I am going to work.

Every aching part pf me knows I should call in sick but there is this little voice in my head saying, "You'll mess up the schedule and people will be pissed."

I am hoping I go to work and puke so they will send me home.

Issues? I think so

I good friend of ours decided a year ago that he was going to be, "known for a food dish", after much thought he decided on cheesecake. As a belated birthday preseant he made me a cofee cheesecake that is absolute heaven. All I am known for is pretty good mac and cheese and average burritos.

Oh and who is going to watch a live performance from "Capitol Steps" tomorrow??

Could it be?????

Fuckin A it is, I am so jazzed!

According to the latest polls Bush is scoring 50% of likely voters while Kerry is pulling 47%. Who the hell are these people??? Are they living in this country? How can this be on the same day it's declared 36 million people are living in poverty?

current mood: bitchy

A man came to our office today selling peaches by the crate. It was the best peach I have ever eaten in my life. I finally understand what made Jame's journey in the Giant Peach so fabulous.

We are headed to Valdez (Val-deez not like Juan Valdez), we are camping and going on a glacier/wildlife cruise. I am so excited, I must, have to, can't live unless I see a whale of some sort.

During my third patient of the day I had the sudden urge to watch Dallas re-runs...it passed after about two minutes.

I get to go to the fair this weekend and eat my weight in corn on the cob. It's true that I can make this at home but would probably be horrified by the amount of butter required to give it that fair goodness. Plus the smell of sawdust and goats seems to enhance the flavor of foods.

Denali was amazing, ont a cloud in the sky and the mountain was out.

We spent Saturday bushwacking our way up a mountain. About 3/4 the way up the heat got to us and we realized we still had to get down so we turned around. I have a strong feeling that in about a month we will be returning to that mountain to try again. We need it to be a little bit cooler and we need to start a little earlier in the day. Yesterday's attempt was really on the fly, "Hey let's climb up that!".

Oooo and the ranger we checked in with before we headed out warned us to be careful because there had been a bear in the area. After a brief moment of hesitation we marched forward. We never saw the bear but we did see a mountain goat.

Some jack off contractor severed a major phone and internet line a block from our house. Sooooo we were phoneless and computerless for 4 days. We have our internet back but still no phone. I guess it was an extremly vital line and they have to re-tag and hand splice every individual line, 2500 were cut.

It has been horrible, I broke down this morning and glared at the Today show for awhile just so I had some sense of what was going on in the country. As usual Matt smiled, Ann giggled and I wanted to kill them. Luckily, Katie was on vacaction.

Air America Radio launched today!!! Of course they are only starting in the top markets but there is live stream available on the page. I will defeintaly become a fan of "The O'Franken Factor".

Of course do to the high volume I am having probelms getting it to open.

Nuts to them.

On a good note our sun is rising at 6 am and setting at about 9pm. Bad news is we are getting a chill from the north and the sun's warmth is being refelxed by the snow. So we have 4 days of the temps being 45 above and now we are back to about
-20 in the evenings +10 during the day. I am so ready for spring, this light has me buzzing around the house doing cleaning.
